IGT has signed an agreement with the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) to supply 720 additional Sierra27 video lottery terminals (VLTs) in 2026, G3 Newswire reported. The report says the machines will be deployed across Saskatchewan. The deal was signed by IGT's subsidiary, IGT Canada Solutions Limited, CDC Gaming Reports said.

WCLC, which runs lottery and other gaming activities on behalf of six Canadian provinces and territories, chose IGT through its competitive VLT procurement process. It is the second year in a row that IGT has been selected.

What the terminals offer

The Sierra27 has two 27-inch high-definition screens and a 13.3-inch player panel with dual buttons. It also has a wireless inductive charger, and IGT says the cabinet is designed for comfort and ease of servicing.

The machines come with a library of games aimed at Canadian players. Titles named in the announcement include Big City 5's Diamond, Tiki Tiki Tiki Mayhem and Cash Climb Garden of Hesperides.

Statements from both sides

Eric Karmark, WCLC's vice-president of VLT gaming and operations, said the new terminals will support WCLC's network of venues with hardware and content designed for the Canadian market. He described IGT as a longstanding supplier and said WCLC looks forward to continuing the relationship.

Chad Helm, IGT's vice-president of sales for Canada and Oregon, said the company is well placed to help WCLC improve venue performance and the player experience. He called the deal a reinforcement of the two companies' working relationship.

G3 Newswire said the agreement strengthens IGT's position as a leading VLT supplier in Canada.

VLTs are a major part of land-based gaming in Saskatchewan. The province's gaming regulator, Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan, has credited growth in land-based casinos and VLTs for its record results in 2025-26. The province says VLT and lottery retail commissions worth $61.8 million went to more than 1,550 local businesses and communities that year.
