Privacy policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This policy explains how Canadian Gaming News (www.canadian-gaming.com), based in Toronto, Ontario, handles personal information. We follow the principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We don't ask you to register, and our pages don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. We collect personal information only when you email us, either directly or through our contact form. The form doesn't send anything itself. It opens your own email app with your message filled in, and nothing reaches us until you press send there.
When you email us we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use this only to read and respond to your message, and to follow up on news tips where you have agreed to that.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our servers and our network provider keep short-term technical logs of requests, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are not used to identify or profile visitors.
Service providers
Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and speeds up delivery, and email sent to [email protected] is forwarded by Cloudflare to our inbox. These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside Canada, including in the United States.
Sources
We protect the identity of people who share information with us in confidence and don't pass their details to anyone unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep emails only as long as we need them to deal with your message or for our reporting records, then delete them.
Who is responsible
Our privacy officer is responsible for how we handle personal information and can be reached at [email protected].
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes
